Fault Serve

Can the receiving player decide to not call a fault on the serve and return it? For example, if the serve is short but they have a good return shot can they return it and allow play to continue normally?

I would say no.

If the serve is short and the server or the receiver though it was short, play should be stopped. In a tournament it does not matter what you think until the ref makes his call, you have to play until the point is stopped.

For me i would rather it be short because in Open you don't get a second server :p
